STATEMENT: What triggered my interest in Village office? I was taken aback when the mayor overstepped his authority and unilaterally dismissed the Historic Review Board because he disagreed with their opinion on his pet project. I quickly realized that the mayor could be so brazen in his use of power because there was no serious political opposition to him or his New Vision Party. I think we deserve a better Village government than this. I want to work towards reform. I want to help steer the Village government out of debt and towards a sustainable future. I think the Village can grow economically without spoiling the unique qualities that make it attractive to visitors and home to those of us who live here.
